Konstantin Mettenheimer advises German and international families and businesses in relation to strategic, investment, corporate finance and structuring issues. He offers an uncommon blend of leadership and advice.
Konstantin was previously Chairman Germany of the Edmond de Rothschild Group and a partner of Edmond de Rothschild Private Merchant Banking LLP ( 2013-2015). From 1986-2013, he was with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, the international law firm, where he was worldwide Chairman from 2004-2010.
Konstantin sits on a number of family boards, has an MBA from Wharton and is both a qualified lawyer and tax adviser. He is Chairman of Common Purpose Germany, Member of the Kuratorium of the Goethe University Frankfurt and a trustee of the John Boyer First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry Memorial Trust. He was awarded the medal of honour by the Bucerius Law School in 2008. Married, with three children, Konstantin also served as an officer in the Bundeswehr and the US National Guard.
